Where Can I Buy Kids Clothes
Both new and seasoned parents know the struggle of buying kids clothing. Whether it's for a baby's first birthday or a back-t0-school wardrobe, it's difficult to avoid spending too much on clothes that almost immediately get stained, torn, or outgrown.

Even though I love and work in fashion, my daughter spent most of her first year in hand-me-down onesies. Now that she is approaching her second birthday, I'm itching to dress her in cuter clothes. But it can be daunting to sort through the variety of kids clothing online.
Quality and prices vary widely, and finding the time to navigate a retailer's website is no easy feat. Add to that kids often-changing preferences and the struggle of finding functional yet on-trend clothing. To help guide you, we've looked at many retailers. For each one, we considered the range of styles, sizing inclusivity, quality of materials, and prices. Learn more about how Insider Reviews tests and researches tech products.
H&M's environmental consciousness, budget-friendly prices, and diverse selection make it a great option for rapidly growing kids. The colorful prints, fun details, and prices are hard to resist. I started shopping there when my daughter was a baby, and as she grew, I continued to buy their affordable eco-friendly clothes.
H&M offers kids clothes up to age 10 and a more sophisticated line for ages 8 to 14. They also sell accessories like tights, hats, shoes, and hair clips. If your child is Frozen-obsessed like mine, you'll also love H&M's partnerships with Disney, among others. The offerings are well-made, true to size, and wash easily.
Appaman's Adaptive line features accessible versions of its most popular clothing to empower kids to dress themselves. An ideal line not only considers accessibility but also style choices that are on par with nonadaptive lines, according to Debbie Stone, founder and executive director at Pop.Earth, a nonprofit committed to providing wellness options for people with autism and developmental disorders.
A major retailer like Target can broaden the range and accessibility of adaptive clothes. "At Pop.Earth, a charity for autism and special needs, I hear from numerous parents how important it is that clothing lines pivot to include these people," said Stone. Cat & Jack is a favorite of the parents I polled, and while its adaptive offerings are somewhat limited, the prices are unbeatable.
The upscale preppy look of Gymboree comes at a cheaper-than-ever price point now that it's owned by The Children's Place. Gymboree clothes are fun, playful, and have plenty of detailing. This is a strong favorite, now at an affordable price.

I'm so happy to see these back on the site. I don't currently need one because the two we have been using for years are holding up beautifully... I am able to pack 2.5 weeks worth of summer clothes/shoes/accessories for two girls ages 3 and 5 in ONE of these... I can't recommend them enough.
Yes, kids grow quickly and are hard on their clothes, but instead of buying cheap, poorly-made outfits that will last only a few recesses, consider clothing your little ones in more durable, well-made, eco-friendly kids clothing that you can feel good about.
The original name in sustainable kids clothes, Hanna Andersson has been leading the pack for over 35 years. They excel in designing soft but durable clothes for kids to dance, play, sleep, and live in.
Jackalo prides themselves on making organic, fair trade kids clothing that lasts twice as long as your typical kids brand. They make simply cut, well-fitting basics with lots of pockets and reinforced knees. Consider these your ultimate playclothes.
Boody has ethical baby clothes covered. Their adorable tops, leggings, and onesies are made of a natural and oh-so-soft bamboo viscose fabric that is breathable, hypoallergenic, and environmentally friendly. As a bonus, they also carry undies and basics for mommy!

4. To add to the list... For the Canadian folks...Mini Moichi has the MOST ADORABLE CLOTHES! I am desperate for a US store exactly like it! They do have a US branch, with a diff name, but their clothes aren't nearly as cool!
5. For US folks, Ten Little makes the BEST kids shoes. They are a GREAT company. My only complaint is that they are thematically consistent with the rest of the industry by not offering kids sizes beyond roughly 10yrs old (size 13).

While the first thing that comes to mind when we think of Century 21 is a maze of designer duds for adults, most people don't think to consider it as a great spot for amazing discounted designer kids' clothes, too. Online and in-store, you'll find quality apparel, accessory and shoe selections for kids (toddlers through tweens and teens).
Thanks to J.Crew's line for kids, parents can help Junior perfect the collegiate look decades before he heads off to Brown. This flagship location, on the UES, sells cardigans and bubble skirts for girls and chinos and suede boots for boys.
A legible, strong-sticking label can mean the difference between a brand-new backpack lasting out the school year versus languishing in a lost-and-found bin. After plastering two water bottles, a nylon lunch box, several food container lids, and a few T-shirts with seven kinds of labels and putting them through a combined total of 24 wash cycles, we found that the Name Bubbles School Labels (in a pack of 76) are the best preprinted labels to put on kids clothes and gear.
Not be impossible to remove when necessary: Some companies say their labels are permanent, but many parents find that they eventually do want to take off the labels, either to pass along outgrown clothes or to hand down an item to a younger sibling. Ideally, it should be easy to remove labels without leaving any residue, but not so easy that a younger child could remove one by themselves.
I've been asked many times for tips on kids clothes and how to keep them from taking over. We could always be better, but for the most part, we have things figured out. As our kids get older, things change, so you might find some of these tips better for kids under 5.
Our children are 7, 5, 4, 2, and 9 months. Our home is roughly 2200 sq ft and we have four bedrooms: ours, a small office/nursery, and two large kid bedrooms. Our older daughter is in one room, baby is near us, three boys share a room. The pictures in this post are from our old home, when we also had three kids sharing a room.
Every family is different and if buying new items bring you joy, go for it! If things are somewhat tight, you go through clothes quickly, or you have kids who are rough on clothes, try it out. You do have to be careful, it is much easier to have MORE secondhand clothing, which leads to things being less manageable.
When I buy clothing secondhand for babies and toddlers from a garage sale, I look for items for $1 and lower, sets $2 and lower. Since some items will see multiple kids, I'll "splurge" on items in really good condition or with a more durable brand name. If I am buying a LARGE amount, I will ask the seller, "I might be interested in buying a large amount of items. If I do, would you consider a lower price?" It's a win-win situation, the seller gets rid of more clothing and makes more money, the buyer buys more items. For more garage sale tips, read this post. 041b061a72
